A lot sooner and I’m in the accident. A little sooner and we’re past it before the fire and ambulance shows up. But we’re those first people stuck here, and will be for a while

I’m going to guess 66 someplace out west of Fairfax. Last time I dro ve out that way the whole area was under construction. Miles and miles of earth being moved.

True, but I feel like all of NOVA highways are always under construction. Or I haven't lived here long enough to spot the subtle differences.

Absolutely.

It was a case of doing the right thing got me nowhere. Moved right to let them by, and they stopped right in front of me, then let the left through to clear space for more emergency vehicles while I sat there watching.
